The Time Has Nearly Come.

September 06, 2009

I still remember the feeling when I first moved to Dublin ... it was pure excitement.
Being so far away from home and starting a new chapter of my life.

And Dublin is a great city. A real city. A large yet small city.
And it'll always have a place in my heart.

So, why am I leaving? Because it's time. And it has been time for about a year now.
I don't see Dublin as a city where someone settles.
To me it has been an unsettling ground, in the best possible sense.
It unsettled my idea of who I am and what I could do.
I've grown a lot and learned so much about myself.

And once I had all the 'answers' I needed, I felt it was unnecessary to hold on to the key to this great city any longer.

So, that's why I'm leaving Dublin. I'm going to miss it, that's for sure.
But I'm also very excited about my new adventures.
I'm going to a great country, a great city.
A very different city.
Bern (Switzerland) is very charming and about 1/10 the size of Dublin.
The historic center of Bern has been featured in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1983, and Bern is among the world’s top ten cities for the best quality of life.
This is an opportunity for me to learn new experiences and share my current ones with others.

So, on Thursday, Sep 10, I will leave Dublin and board a plane to Bern.

Stay tuned for my Swiss adventures. :)
